Last updated: January 2026
1. Introduction and Scope
The 2026 AMRC Boat Hire system ("System") facilitates boat rentals between Perth-based rowing clubs ("Lenders") and interstate clubs or individual rowers ("Renters") for the 2026 Australian Masters Rowing Championships held from 27-30 May 2026 atChampion Lakes, Perth, Western Australia.
By creating an account and/or making a booking through this System, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the System.
2. Booking Terms
2.1 Booking Confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed once payment has been received and a confirmation email has been sent to the Renter. Until confirmation, the boat remains subject to availability.
2.2 Rental Period
Boats are rented on a per-event basis. The rental period includes one hour before the scheduled race time and 30 minutes after the race conclusion to allow for rigging and de-rigging.
2.3 Pricing
Rental prices are set by individual Lender clubs and are displayed at the time of booking. Club-to-club discounts or promotional codes may apply. The final price shown at checkout is the amount payable.
3. Damage Liability
3.1 Renter Responsibility
The Renter assumes full responsibility for the boat from the time of collection until the time of return. The Renter agrees to:
- Use the boat only for its intended purpose (rowing competition)
- Handle the boat with reasonable care appropriate to the equipment
- Report any damage or issues immediately to the Lender club
- Return the boat in the same condition as received, allowing for normal wear
3.2 Damage Assessment
In the event of damage to a boat during the rental period, the following process applies:
- The Renter must notify the Lender club immediately upon discovering any damage
- The Lender club will assess the damage and determine repair costs
- The Renter will be liable for the reasonable cost of repairs, not exceeding the replacement value of the boat
- Disputes regarding damage assessment may be referred to the Rowing WA for mediation
3.3 Insurance
Renters are strongly encouraged to obtain appropriate insurance coverage for the rental period. The Rowing WA and Lender clubs do not provide insurance coverage for Renters.
4. Cancellation Policy
4.1 Cancellation by Renter
Cancellations by the Renter are subject to the following refund schedule:
- More than 14 days before the event: Full refund minus any processing fees
- 7-14 days before the event: 50% refund
- Less than 7 days before the event: No refund
4.2 Cancellation by Lender
If a Lender club cancels a booking, the Renter will receive a full refund. The System will attempt to suggest alternative boats from other clubs where available.
4.3 Event Cancellation
In the event of a regatta cancellation or significant schedule changes by the organising committee, all affected bookings will be fully refunded.
